Every spoken Finnish form, and what it stands for

Hear these forms in everyday phrases, then try a listening challenge.

Spoken Finnish (puhekieli) shortens and reshapes words in ways a dictionary will not explain. "Minä olen" is said "mä oon", "onko sinulla" is said "onks sul". This is every form the SaunaSpeak course uses, with the written Finnish (kirjakieli) it stands for.

These pages explain spoken alternatives used in this course. Usage varies by speaker and situation; some forms are ordinary written words too. Check the sentence and its gloss.
